Ms. Cydnee Hosker

Cydnee Hosker is a graduate of  Fine Arts from York University.  She has taught visual arts for 30 years and has been part of the Integrated Arts Program since its inception in 1990. She is an active member of the visual arts community in Peterborough and strives to foster a link between it and the arts community of Thomas A Stewart.  Cydnee is a teacher advisor to the yearbook and photography clubs. She is firmly committed to helping young visual artists find their artistic voice.

Ms. Susie Clarke

Assistant Head of Arts

Susie Clarke is a proud graduate of the Integrated Arts Program and is thrilled to be a part of the faculty at TAS! She graduated from the program with a focus in Drama and Dance. She went on to study Arts at York University and completed her degree at Trent where she also received her Bachelor of Education. Ms. Clarke loves teaching dance at TAS and believes that dance has the power to be more than just about the moves. She encourages her students to break through their boundaries and to push themselves to achieve their personal best. She has a passion for making art meaningful and to building community. Teaching in this program is truly a full circle moment for Ms. Clarke!

Mr. Andrew Bigg

Visual & Comprehensive Arts, Ceramics, Sculpture, English

Andrew Bigg has been a part of the Integrated Arts Program since 1994.  He teaches Visual Arts (including Ceramics, Painting and Drawing, and Sculpture), Drama, Comprehensive Arts and English.  As well, he is the teacher supervisor for Arts Council (SMAC), the TAS Drumming Group and Ceramics Club.  An artist, an enthusiastic gardener and a musician, he is committed to fostering student leadership in the arts as well as instilling a lifelong love of creativity and learning.  

Ms. Sherry Latchford-Couto

Instrumental & Vocal Music, Geography, Digital Photography

Ms Latchford-Couto has been teaching in the Integrated Arts Program for 10 years. She completed a BMus and a BEd at Queen's University. She teaches Instrumental Music, Guitar, Vocal and Digital Photography.  She loves being active in all areas of school life; she is a Staff Advisor for Student Council, coaches basketball and soccer and has been a part of extracurricular music ensembles (Symphonic Band, Flute Choir and SATB Choir).  Sherry encourages all students to develop their artistic skills to the fullest and strives to build a sense of leadership in the individual.

Music, English, Comprehensive Arts

Ben Jackson has been teaching Music and English for 20 years, and has been part of the Integrated Arts Program since 2012. Ben graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Music degree in performance; his principal instrument is the flute. He loves to perform on his flute as a soloist and with local groups. Additionally, at TAS, Ben has enjoyed directing many of the award winning music ensembles, such as the Wind Symphony and Flute Choir. He enjoys all aspects of teaching music and tries to inspire in his students a love of music that will last a lifetime.

Mr. Daniel McLean
Guitar & English

Mr. Daniel McLean has been teaching for 21 years.  He completed all his undergraduate work at the University of Manitoba.  Having taught Guitar at Cobourg DCI West, Mr. McLean has been teaching Guitar and English at TAS for the past 2 years.  He runs the Guitar Club, is a frequent contributor to assemblies, and absolutely loves being part of the Arts program!  Other than Guitar, Mr. McLean has been known to teach Bass and Ukulele. 

Ms. Jessica Sisson
Musical Theatre & Comprehensive Arts

Jessica Sisson is a graduate of York University's Fine Arts Theatre program, where she specialized in costume and set design. Before earning her Bachelor of Education from Trent University, she worked for the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. She teaches drama, musical theatre, fashion, visual art, integrated arts, and English. In addition to teaching, she is an avid seamstress and quilter.

Ms. Sarah Tye

Drama, English, Comprehensive Arts, Musical Theatre

Ms. Sarah Tye is thrilled to be joining the IA team at TAS! She graduated from the program in 2003 with a focus on drama and music, and a lively passion for visual art. Sarah went on to study theatre and English at Trent University and Liverpool Hope University in England. She's been involved in over 80 productions in all dimensions of the theatre - and has been fortunate to work with most theatre groups in Peterborough. During the past four years, Ms. Tye has taught Drama, Visual Art and English at Cobourg West High School. She is looking forward with keen anticipation, to working with the talented students and staff in her new home at TAS.
